Hello lovely and patient readers,
I’m sorry I’ve been quiet. I’m having some kind of writer’s block thing where I have nothing to say. That doesn’t mean that things are quiet over here. Quite the opposite really, The Munchkin’s quest for independence is very tiring especially when he insists he wants to put his own slippers on but can’t then cries about it and won’t let me help him. What must happen?! The tantrums are epic but so is his learning. Every day he comes home with something new and it’s so amazing to watch this little guy grow.
Anyway, things are plodding along here but I’ve become somewhat introspective and introverted. And not just on my blog, my social media has been quiet too not by any conscious decision but just because I’ve not felt the need to share.
I’m not sure what I want this blog to be or what people want to read. If they even are reading. Should it matter if they are?
I need to find my purpose again and all that. It’s difficult to write a parenting type blog that’s full of advice or ideas or whatever when that’s what I do all day at my day job. This is starting to feel like an extension of that which is tiring. I love my job but I don’t want to come home and do it too.
I hate treating this like a job with content calendars and plans and all that jazz. I redesigned the blog a bit hoping it would give me a fresh start and while I do like my new look, it hasn’t done anything to unblock the writer’s block.
So sorry for being away. I’ll be back soon when I’ve figured out the direction for this blog.
If you’ve gotten this far, thank you for reading my stream of rubbish consciousness.
Here are some bonus Munchkin pictures from a few weeks back when we went to Club Mykanos with my parents:

I also don’t do the whole… blog content calendar and all that. I carry a notebook with me and jot down ideas on the fly, then I sit down to write it when the mood grabs me, sometimes I post things on the fly… depending on what has inspired or moved me.
Blogging should be first and foremost fun and about your passion, and nothing else matters.
