Eid al-Adha is the 2nd of the two Eids Muslims celebrate. It means the Festival of Sacrifice and it honours the willingness of Nabi Ebrahim to sacrifice his son, as an act of submission to Allah’s command. Allah then intervened, sending his angel Jibra’il  to inform him that his sacrifice had already been accepted and replaced his son with a sheep. A pizza party is the best kind of party

Here’s the thing about my cousin Luqmaan, he is basically McGuyver. When we were kids he would take his toys apart and put then back together. Whenever we went over there he was always busy with some sort of project. So it was no surprise that when he got married he built his own pizza oven from scratch and by hand. Last week my newest niece was born (technically she’s my first cousin, once removed but who has time for that? – No one, that’s who). My cousin Ayesha birthed her third princess on Wednesday and when she came home on Saturday the name giving ceremony or doopmal was held.
