So long, farewell…

Hello lovelies, it’s been a minute since I’ve popped in here but I’ve really been struggling with this space and just the blogging world in general and my place in it. I don’t know what to do with this space and what my readers want from it.

But it’s not just that. I feel like I’m being stretched thin between work, home, running two blogs and the kids, and something’s got to give. Unfortunately it turns out it’s been both my blogs. I’ve been writing in the parenting sphere for over 10 years, both professionally and personally and I actually just don’t know what to say anymore.

I feel uninspired and tired. It takes a lot to put out a blog post. Conceptualising ideas, taking pictures, editing them,
then finding the time to write it up, make sure my SEO is good and then blast it all over social media and try to drive traffic to the post and it’s honestly exhausting for me now.

So while I am not killing this space just yet (in case this is just a case of the year end burnout and I feel I want to pick up again at some point next year), it is going on what should be considered a permanent hiatus.

But Surviving the Madness will continue to live on Instagram. Right now I am finding that medium easier to manage and I will  be sharing life snippets, product reviews, kids book reviews and Instant Pot recipes on there.

In the new year I will be concentrating a lot more on my entertainment blog, Talons and Tea Leaves. So if you love books, movies and TV series then head on over and give it a follow because I’ll be talking about a whole lot of that over there.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has read this blog and supported me over the years. Your support has meant the world to me and allowed me to build relationships with so many of you and I’ve gotten to work with so many wonderful people in the industry. I’ve made so many real life friends through blogging and I love you all. I won’t be gone and I hope that you will connect with me on Instagram.

Feel free to follow @survivingmadness and @talonsandtea on Instagram to keep up with all the shenanigans.
