Jonathan Taylor Thomas is still cute! Win!

Guys! Guys! Jonathan Taylor Thomas is still alive!!! And he is still cute! That was seriously my first thought when I saw this Home Improvement reunion picture on EW. I was so worried because celebs you crushed on when you were a teen rarely transition well into adulthood when they’ve been off the map for a million years. The internet tells me that the boy turns 30 today. Yasso, that makes me feel old. He’s still oulik though. T-minus 2 hours till we leave for Caledon Spa! Weeeow!

Hufflepuff FTW?

“Huh? Seriously? Hufflepuff? Oh well, At least it’s not Slytherin”. Those were my thoughts when I got Sorted into Hufflepuff House on Pottermore. Zain jokes that it makes sense seeing as the Fat Friar is the house ghost. (Well, he better be joking!) But then I read the Welcome  ...

An Eid Blog

Yes, yes, I realise Eid was a few days ago but I was honestly so kus I couldn’t even put my thoughts into words. Also, I was lazy. Eid was quite relaxed. I love that I get to go to Eid salaah in the mornings. I wasn’t ever able to before I was married because mornings were always so  ...

A Boeber Jol

Today was the 15th day of Ramadaan, the halfway mark. And like the old people say, “Ek is op die berg!”. Yasso! Meaning, that I’ve fasted the first 15 days non-stop. Sometimes I don’t get to do this because of lady reasons. So anyway, we’re at the top of the  ...

Lazy blog

As a child, teenager and even all through campus it took minimum effort for me to stay thin. In fact I hardly thought about it and thanked God for my high metabolism. And now a few years and a whole lot of kilograms later, I find it difficult to commit to any form of exercise. I start off with  ...

A Weekend of Sickness

“Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurgh! Make the snot go away”, I said to the lovely lady behind the pharmacy counter on Friday afternoon. She gave me two boxes of drugs: one to clear the snot, the other to clear the flu/cold that had started a party in my body. So I took some that night and again  ...
