Here’s what happened at the #CTMEETUP 2018!

Oh  my goodness, and just like that the #CTMEETUP is all done and dusted and I feel like I can breathe again. I’m not going to lie, organising this event was stressful. I certainly am not cut out for event organising but it seems everyone had a good time and so I’m happy with that.

We chose A Touch of Madness in Obs for our location and it was so cosy and lovely and the rain managed to stay at bay so we could mill about in the courtyard outside. The owner was so lovely and accommodating and the food was amazing.

We had two amazing speakers for this year’s #CTMEETUP, Maz Halliday from Caffeine and Fairydust and Ayesha Abrahams from A Squared PR and Communications. Maz told us about her journey as a blogger and how you should stay true to yourself and both speakers also touched on how to work with brands and how to approach them. There were great discussions amongst the bloggers which was really valuable for everyone.

Then there were our amazing sponsors for this year’s #CTMEETUPBramley and Beauscience, who had such patience with us and had lovely displays up at the event. They also provided some great things for our goody bags including: Bramley Diamond Tissue Oil, Bramley Best Feet cream and powder and Beauscience Botanical eye gel and Botanical cleansing gel. I can’t wait to try out these products so keep an eye on my Instagram account for that.

We’d also like to thank all our other sponsors who contributed so generously to our goody bags.

We had such a great time meeting new bloggers, online friends and hugging old friends. Cindy always did such a stellar job planning these and I am just so at awe of her for doing this on her own because I certainly could not have done this without the help of Robyn and Mandy. But now I’m going to sleep for a month.

This was such an awesome event Zayyaan! Thanks to you and Robyn for all the efforts in putting together something memorable. I thought for a minute Maz would make me go teary-eyed, but my mascara remained intact ;). Looking forward to future events of this nature – so amazing to connect with others who are making waves in the cyber world of blogging/influencing or whatever they choose to call it. 🙂
